Sharing My Blog — NAWW Member (Mona Lovin)

Posted by on Feb 19 2005 | NAWW Member News

Dear NAWW!

I am delighted to see the NAWW blog. Blogging is a wonderful means of communication - and so incredibly easy to use. I started my own blog in December last year, and although it’s still in construction, I’d like to share it with the community - you can find it at maxgrendel.blogs.com.

It started out as a place for me to share my own experience as a budding writer (after fifteen years spent in the rather heartless information technology industry), but then it kind of took a life of its own. I’ve added some links to resources in the Washington, DC area, and a bit of my own writing. Comments, suggestions, thoughts - they’re all welcome.

All the best,

Mona Lovin - NAWW Member

Submit To Search Engines For Fr*e

Posted by on Feb 09 2005 | NAWW Member News

Hi NAWW Members!

On this week’s conference call–NAWW Member, Debbie Oliver–asked “Do I have to pay to have my web site submitted to search engines?”

These are the three places we recommend you do it for FR*E.

1) Yahoo!
2) Open Directory Project at http://www.dmoz.org. This is where Hotbot & Lycos get their entries.
3) About.com

For more information on search engines, click here: http://www.selfpromotion.com/
