NAWW Member Publishes Two New Books

Posted by on May 08 2006 | NAWW Member News

In January, Twenty-third Publications, New London, CT., will publish Habits of the Soul: Learning to Live on Purpose. It is the first published non-fiction work of NAWW Member, Linda Perrone Rooney, DMin., offering a 160 pg. daily walk in the spiritual life. Through reflections, journaling, action and prayer each reader has a guide to renewing or beginning a spiritual journey that leads to a deeper, richer and more intimate relationship with God and others. As a teacher of theology, spiritual director, retreat leader and writer and personal coach, Linda put her experience in the spiritual life at the service of others who seek a more balanced and holistic existence.

In the Spring (March or April), Linda Perrone Rooney’s second book, Hold Fast to Hope: Reflections and Help for Caregivers of Those With Traumatic Injuries, will be published by Resurrection Press, W.Totowa, New Jersey. This book was born of her work as a Chaplain and her personal experience caring for her husband after his traumatic brain injury. It supports the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of the caregiver as he/she learns to navigate the complexities of the health care system, the rollercoaster of private emotions and stress, and the spiritual malaise that often accompanies fatigue and vulnerability.

Linda is proud of both works, and busy on a third. She is grateful to NAWW for the inspiration she has received by connecting to others and realizing her ability to accomplish her dream of writing.
