Q: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer?
A: Being inspired by my mother, a reporter, I jotted things in notebooks from a very early age. I penned my first screenplay at sixteen and it was then I decided it was something I was genuinely interested in but I did not really envision myself as a writer until college.

Q: How and when did you make this dream a reality?
A: I began writing my first (completed) novel on a family vacation in 2004. By the time it was eight chapters long I realized that I just had to see it published and began my hunt. The book was completed and published in 2006. It was August when I held my author copy in my hands. I cried.

Right now you believe many goals are attainable and many are not. The way we were raised and our current environment dictate our beliefs and unless we are challenged and taught to believe differently, we stay stuck. Today, open up your mind to abundance. Take a financial goal and rewrite it in an abundant mindset. Try to make yourself believe that you can accomplish it even if there is a nagging voice saying “no way!” Then put it where you can see it every day. Whatever you want to accomplish, have, or do. Q: When did you realize you wanted to be a writer?
A: Writing has always come naturally to me. For as long as I can remember I’ve been fascinated by the written word. As an only child, books were my best friends and I think that sparked my creativity. I started writing poetry and journaling at a very young age and at the risk of really dating myself, in or around the 4th grade; a girlfriend and me started the first elementary school newsletter, producing The Old-timers on a mimeograph machine.

Q: How and when did you make this dream a reality?
A: Because I have written most of my life, I guess technically the dream become reality when I was actually paid for my writing. This happened when I was reporter and advertising manager for my high school newspaper The Pepperbox. I cannot remember the exact amount I was paid PCI (per column inch) for my stories but I do know I was excited about the opportunity to earn money doing what I loved. I also earned commission from ad sales and wrote copy for the ads in the paper.

Today I am blessed to own and operate Write On ~ Creative Writing Services, LLC and I do what I love every day.
