NAWW Baton Rouge Chapter Hosts Pulitzer Nominee

The NAWW Baton Rouge Chapter hosted Pulitzer poet nominee Harvey Stanbrough (http://www.stonethread.com/) at a “Poetry & Gumbo” gathering on Saturday. Members were treated to hefty servings of both poetry pointers and Cajun cuisine. We also welcomed new member Sheri Silvers.

NAWW Maryland Chapter Announces Website Launch

The Maryland Chapter of NAWW is pleased to announce the launch of its website at www.MDnaww.org. The site contains many links that connect to the NAWW site, making it easy for members to find local information pertaining to the Maryland network, as well as connect to the national site to keep up with the latest happenings.

Their meetings are scheduled to take place on the third Thursday each month. Local response is favorable and growing.

NAWW Scottsdale, AZ Chapter congratulates Carole Manetta for being a part of the event yesterday in Glendale at the writers workshops at the Glendale Library with her book, Opening Children to Their Guardian Angels.

NAWW Regional Representative Shares News About the Senior Summer Camp

Patricia L.Brooks, NAWW Regional Representative-Scottsdale, AZ www.plbrooks.com will be attending a 5 week Senior Summer Camp at the University of Minnesota-Duluth with her husband. She plans to work on her second book in 75 degrees on lake Superior, as well as do a workshop with her book on August 7th. She will visit the Mayo Clinic-Rochester’s book store that has been carrying her book, Gifts of Sisterhood, for the past year to do a talk and sign books before returning to the Valley. Her husband is writing his memoirs for his grandkids and plans to write there as well. The Senior Summer Camp has been in existence for 30 years and 500 people attend each summer.

Women Writers Group hosts Journaling Workshop with Sandy Grason

Fort Lauderdale, FL— The National Association of Women Writers South Florida Regional Chapter (NAWW) will host Sandy Grason, best-selling author of “Journalution: Journaling to Awaken Your Inner Voice, Heal Your Life and Manifest Your Dreams” for a special journaling workshop on Thursday, June 15 at Borders, Fort Lauderdale from 7pm to 9pm.

“Release Your Creative Voice: Turn off Your Inner Critic & Let Your Inner Wisdom Flow!” is the special presentation planned for women writers at this event. Sandy has led hundreds of seminars across the country and this is a rare opportunity to participate in one of her workshops for free. At the NAWW workshop, she will share her many tips and prompts to inspire and motivate your muse, so participants are urged to bring a journal or notebook.

The NAWW South Florida Regional Chapter meets the third Thursday of each month at Borders, 2240 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale from 7pm to 9pm. Guests are welcome to attend the meetings.
