Memorial Day Weekend kicks off summer and we invite you to a very special summer event: our Poetry beneath the Prose Writing Retreat July 25-27, 2008.

Join us for creative writing with three award-winning writers who will facilitate writing workshops in poetry, memoir writing and essays in the beautiful setting of Blaisdell Lake in Sutton, New Hampshire. You will have time to relax, hike, and gather with fellow writers in an environment that fosters creativity.

Presenters include poet K.B. Ballentine, memoirist Jodi Dougherty, and journalist Deb McKew. You will also have the opportunity to submit manuscripts for individual critique.

Poetry beneath the Prose is presented by The New London Writers’ Studio, a new collaboration between Words in Play Writing Workshops in Sunapee and The Wordshop in New London.
